Hi and thanks in advance
i have a problem with double fillet welding joint for a built up 3 plate beam, theres a concern for the web of the beam , because is a 3/16" plate

is it possible to make the double fillet conection for a 3/16" web to 3/8" and 1/2" flange
i was reading AWS D1.1 but im not sure

A two sided single pass (3/16) fillet weld fully developes the strength of the thin web. Why would you choose to use additional weld passes?

With low hydrogen electrode, the minimum fillet weld is based on the thickness of the thinner part. For 3/16 material the minimum fillet is 1/8.

ok as i understand , i can put 1/8" fillet on both sides of the web in 1 single pass; can i use 3/16" welding fillet?

where it says maximum plate thickness is for the thicker plate of connection, but where it says minimum plate for fillet on each side, is for the web plate?
if this is so ... i cant use web plate thinner than 0.28" in A-50 steel
is this right?

THX

The table you have is very antiquated. You need to find a more recent edition of D1.1 Your plate thicknesses are OK with 3/16 fillet welds. The table is for minimum weld sized based on materail thickness. Not the reverse.
