A Plate material with Dual certification i.e with A36 and S275JR is used to make 2 test coupons and welded to each other and tested and qualified as per AWS D1.1.

Does this qualify for all 3 scenarios?

Unlisted to unlisted(S275JR)
Unlisted to Group1
Group 1 to Group 1?

Any corroborative reference in AWS D1.1 would be fantastic

Thanks all for your feedback

I am going through a similar situation here in the Phillipines but it is dual certification with A36 and JIS material.
It is my understanding if it is certified to JIS it is an unassigned material.
If it is certified to A36 it is a Group 1 steel.
If it is dual certified it is a Group 1 steel irrespective of JIS.
I would be interested too in any thoughts - where are ya Big Al ?

You are qualified for Group 1 to Group 1 steels as listed in AWS D1.1.

You are also qualified for S275JR to S275JR as unlisted materials.

I would be of the opinion you are also qualified for Group 1 to S275JR.

Hey, what can go wrong? Me, perhaps?

Al

Thanks @gtaw.

I guess for the 3rd scenario, it would only qualify S275JR to A 36 only instead of Group1(Exact combination as per table 6.9(2020 ed.)

Yea, you can't go wrong with a more restrictive interpretation.

Best regards - Al
