Automating dimensions?

I have a patterned feature in a model. I would like to automate some drawing dimensions according to the pattern.

Example:
The pattern count is 6, D1@pattern.

I would like a particular dimension to read in the following: 7 x R0.5 where my syntax would look something like "(D1@pattern+1) x R<DIM>" for my dimension text.

Did I lose you?

How could I define this in a drawing? Any ideas from imported dimensions or from hand inserted dimensions?
