I have to download about 4000 files from sever that recognize my address and allow me this action. Files are named x, x#i, xy, xy#i and xy#iy where x : 1 to 99999, i : 1 to 50, y : a to z. For example file could be a1350, the next a1352#1a, a1352#1b. Link of those file are give after search in the server.
Does someone have macro or program to download easily those files.
Thanks in advance

Download cygwin from
It's by itself a nice UNix-like environment running under Windows. Run FTP --help under cygwin. This is a command line program that allows you to pre-program the instructions from a text file. Do not confuse with the brain damaged ftp.exe that comes with windows.

Cygwin is a great environment for many purposes, even to learn a little Unix.

How do you attach to the server? Can you just copy the files across or do you have to do an ftp get or ftp put?

I can access server via a php webpage that recognise my IP. There is a text box where I can write the file that I look for. I clik on command botton and it's display another page with result (all files that match my request). In this page there is the link of the files in source file and pdf file. so I can download from this page.
