autodesk vault filetype query

Can anyone suggest how I can get a break down by file type(.ipt, .idw. .pdf, etc) on all vault stored files? Filter by doc type or extension doesnt seem to work. I can get an over all total I believe. Maybe need administartive privileges? Thanks
