Autodesk Inventor Routed Systems

My company is looking at purchasing this software. We currently have seats of Inventor where we can create pipes, adaptive or otherwise, with 3D sketches. Could anyone offer some experience-driven opinion please on what there is to gain from upgrading: for example, what can you do with Routed Systems that you can't do with adaptive 3D sketches, what can you do more quickly, and how much quicker is "more quickly"?

First...just get a demo and try for yourself. That will be better than any answer you get here.
But I use routed systems (for cable/harnesses) all the time. I can't imagine how much more time it would take to do that with adaptive 3d sketches.. That would drive me crazy. I have no idea how complicated your pipe/cable runs are but I wouldn't be suprised if after your are trained and up to speed with routed systems that you get an ROI on the first few projects.
Off the top of my head I'd guess at 10 times as long using adaptive 3d sketches versus the routed package once its all set up. Just a guess though.
