This is probably easy for someone, but not for me. How do I suppress the feet and inches symbols in dimensioning? That is, if the length of pipe (fire sprinkler shop drawing) is 7'-8", how to I make it show 7-8? I have been all through DIMSTYLE and it does not mention it. I am using ACAD 2002 (oldy but goody). Thanks.

I don't know about 2002 (don't remember), but in 2014 you go to "dimstyle" - "override" - "alternate units" and use for "multiplier" 0.08333 and "prefix" "-" (without quotation marks). You can also adjust the decimals as needed.

Thanks, but it does not work for me (at least with ACAD 2002). I tried decimal and architectural units, alas, no success.
I know it can be done, but cannot figure it out.
Does anyone know how to do it for ACAD 2002 ? Thanks in advance.
