I've been having a problem when I print from AutoCAD to pdf. I'm trying to print in monochrome, but text comes out in two tones, where some of the letters are lighter and some are darker. The same thing happens to some of the fillets. When I plot a hard copy everything comes out black (as it should). A snip is attached so you can see what I am taking about.

I'm using AutoCAD LT2011 on a Windows 7 machine. I've tried both exporting to pdf from AutoCAD and plotting using "Cute PDF", a free pdf printing program. I use "monochrome" pen assignments.

Thanks,
John

There's nothing wrong with your file, it's just the way your screen displays it. The pdf is vector and high res, and when not viewed at 100% it displays greyscale on your monitor.

Wow. Thanks. I printed a hard copy of the pdf and it looks fine.
Thanks,
John
