AutoCAD 2009 update data links via macro

I have Excel data links in AutoCAD dwgs. Other users update the spreadsheets.

If it were one or two, I would be OK with manually opening each dwg and updating the data links.

However, there is over a hundred dwgs with multiple data links in each and the spreadsheets get updated often.

I would like to have a macro to update the various data links in the dwgs, so I can publish the sheet sets.

How can I do this with a macro? I have some experience with VBA (starting to explore VB.NET)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
