I have created 15 different views of manhole designs in a drawing. I have xrefed that drawing into another in which I need the same views - but that second drawing doesn't contain the same setup views.

Is there a method to import export views or access the views of an xrefed drawing?

You should be able to cut and paste the viewports into paper space. Then right click each and make the objects within visible.

...or You can use the designcenter and drag'n'drop the layouts into the new dwg.

It was named views rather than viewports that I was interested in (model space).

Any ideas? Thanks.

Ok, i see,

You can use "_save as" -> import Your new objects into the *.dwg with the named views.

...or you can try the lisp "impview.lsp". i didn't try it by myself. Reply.

Works a treat - the source needs to be closed but other than that it went fine - its from acad2000 and works fine in 2006.

Cheers.
Sean.
