Auto Numbering, can this be done??

Hi
I know there are various routines for auto numbering by "clicking" and getting a consecutive number each time but is there a routine or a way of being able to automatically number each block with an attribute by swiping the drawing and the routine starts at the top left for instance and works left to right, top to bottom, numbers consecutivley all blocks with that attribute until it runs out of blocks. This would save alot of time 1 swipe everything numbered.

Not sure what you mean by "swiping" but the short answer is yes, but you'll need to write some code to do this, either AutoLISP or VB/VBA.
