Auto line contraints between slabs and columns

Hi all,
I have a building with flat slab, and the columns are not located on the grid-lines. I use shell element for slab. I wonder about compatibility between the columns and the slabs, Does Etabs automatically generate auto line constraints between slabs and columns?

By default yes, auto line constraints are used in etabs. YOu can control that from the Assign menu.
