Atmospheric intake valve

I am looking for spring design info based on the valve & retainer mass and the desired engine speed. This if for an antique (1912) 4cyl 500cc FN motorcycle engine.

Any help on atmospheric valves would be useful. I believe many of the older staionary engines used a suction operated intake.
