Do you know one not too expensive, preferably DOS based
made by other than IGUANALABS ?

I use Logical Devices ChipMaster 5000 on all my 1051,2051 or 4051 projects. I think the older versions (2000 and 3000) should work just fine.

I think they are about 700$ a pop new but I think they sell refurbed units for a lot less...

It might be worth taking a look at their Galep-4 programmer will program almost anything and costs about $333. Unfortunately, the software is Windows-based. You can download free updates for new devices as they are brought out.
