Not finding it with a google search. These STR trip units really are a problem and I would like to know of a direct replacement. If the mods do not mind can Mr Fudd post a link?

scotty my apologies no link will be posted

Correct me if i'm wrong but if you put a different trip unit and the breaker explodes won't you lose the warranty?

There are problem with STRs because they are electronic equipment and sensitive to temperature, they need air conditioning.

To my knowledge the STRs are being discontinued now and all new breakers of the NSX range come equipped with a Micrologic unit, up to 630A? The remaining STRs will be for 800, 1250 and 1600 and they would be on their way out as well...

Aus we are talking 15 year old switch gear product that is not supported to replace the acb's would cost to much this gear is used by the us army and NASA just to name a few I do not want to keep pushing this as it is against site rules I just wanted it known that it is out there if you look it could save a company a small fortune

Again my apologes to the site mods I will not reply to this post again

wabbithunter,

They aren't my rules (nor any of the other members here) but the site admins are generally quite uncompromising about posts whose sole purpose is marketing. In this case I think there are so many people who have had problems with either the ST or STR units, or just with Schneider generally, that posting a link would be completely reasonable. I'm certainly interested in finding out a bit more and I genuinely don't think the admins would object in this instance.

No mention of any testing or certifications? Not available in the US, I assume because of a lack of UL tests.

Zogzog look up satin American if you are in USA

Zogzog - **MADE** in the US. Or maybe made in China for a US company. [lol]

Actually I know those guys and will see them in a couple weeks, will come back with full report.

Look forward to seeing what you say. I couldn't find any reference to any approval or standard in the Satin American document.
