ASTM D7027 vs ISO 19252:2008

Hi everyone,

I need to set a method to determine the scratch properties of several PET films. For doing so, I am considering to acquire the standards ASTM D7027 (Standard Test Method for Evaluation of Scratch Resistance of Polymeric Coatings and Plastics Using an Instrumented Scratch Machine) and ISO 19252:2008 (Plastics — Determination of scratch properties). However, many sources reference them together as if they were the same standard.

I would appreciate if you gave me some insights on what the differences between both are, if there is any.
