Can someone tell me if this spec also covers the orientation of the perforations when the pipe is used for drain purposes?

We have a situation where a foundation drain is being installed. The arch/structural/civil, whomever has specified ASTM D2729. The submitials show the perfs down, and the spec says to install them up. Not looking for a debate on which way people think they should go, just wether there is any backup in the spec.

Thank you.

The ASTM spec only covers requirements and test methods for materials, dimensions, workmanship, chemical resistance, and joint tightness for the pipe - it doesn't specify installation methods.

Thank you, that is what I wanted to know.

Since the submittal indicated 2 row pattern conforms to ASTM D2729 , I was not sure. I had a feeling that was the case though.
