Hey fellas,
i am new on here so bear with me,
The application that we have in our shop requires us to thicken the pipe wall in order for it not to be teared,
So in order for us to do that, we are going to weld a reinforcement on one end of the pipe,
The material of the reinforcement available here is the ASTM A335,
My question is: since the available material is of ferritic alloy steel, and the pipe material is of a low alloy steel, should i be worried about the welding of the two metals together? (cracks, corrosion... etc),
The electrode to be used is the E7018,
Thank you in advance,
Greetings gents,
