We are looking to buy needle valve with body ASTM A105. However, supplier is offering BS 230M07. I have always worked with ASTM standards & not familiar with BS standards. Can anyone advise if BS 230M07 is equivalent to ASTM A105

They are not equivalent. 230M07 is a "leaded" free machining, low carbon steel. It will not have the toughness or strength of A105. Whether it is suitable for your needle valve and its service is up to you to decide. It could not be used in ASME B31 piping applications.
