We have purchased 2 test rings.
1. ASTM A105
2. ASTM A350LF2
On the mill certificate, the vendor mentioned the same heat number for the two materials.

My question:
Is it possible that the 2 materials can be prepared from the same heat ?

Thanks in advance.

If you lay the material specifications side by side for comparison and review the chemical composition ranges as stated in Table 1 for SA 105 and Table 1 for SA 350 Grade LF2, the end result is that you can have the same heat for these two specifications. You also need to review the heat treatments and resultant mechanical properties. This is for you to do.

Thanks alot for your response.
