Hi,

Q: what are those symbols that appear in between assy or prt mark and part name (in a model tree) mean:
2 vertical parallel lines with a small square and so on

Thanks

That means the component is partially placed and not fully constrained. This could be from several things, 1) you did not fully constrain the part to the assembly or 2) you have the part fully constrained with mechanism constraints (pin, slider, socket etc) that allow for movement of the part in the assembly.

Just type tree Glyphs in the creo help center and you will find all kinds of fuzzy indistinct little icons.

I attached an image I used in a book. It shows some of the more common glyphs.
