Hello,

I have created assembly and saved the assembly in UG NX8.5. all the parts are in the same folder.
so my question is when i open the assy. all the parts are not loaded. then every time i have to load from the load options available. but wanted to know is there any way if i open assy, my all parts should load automatically as it should not confuse for the other person who does not know UG.
Thanks..
Pat

If you have all the parts in the same folder (with no sub-fodlers) as you said, than you just have to set Assembly Load Options prior opening the actual assembly.
1. file->options->assembly load options
2. in first group, Part Version, set the Load option to From Folder
3. now go to last group, Saved Load Options and click on Save As Default icon
Now everytime you are going to open the assembly, Load Options will be set to From Folder and all the parts from this folder will be loaded.

And if you set so this option to the other users, that are not so familiar with NX, then they should also be able to open the assembly with all the parts loaded. That is, if the parts are in the same folder as assembly part.

Regards.

DO you have a central CAD administrator who can set the companies load options to be the same for all people? That's how we work, I set the options and then make sure that everyone in the group (600+ people) have the same set up and they can then customise certain ones themselves.

If the assembles you work on a relatively small, a few hundred, relatively simple components for example, then I would recommend haveing your sites default laod options to be set to 'Load all components' however for people with very large assemblies, where comonents number in their thousands or hundreds of thousands then this is not wise and the 'load no components' is a much more sensible option.

cheers

Si

BABUGOUDA,

Without impacting any other users at your site, there are several methods for your NX session to use specific load options that will load "all components".

1) The technique from SvenBom

2) In the assembly load options dialog, Set the load options to load "All Components", "Save to file". This will create the file a load options file of the name that you enter in the dialog E.g. my_load_all_components.def. Set the environment variable UGII_LOAD_OPTIONS to the full file path and name of the new load options file. The variable will cause new NX sessions to initialize the load options dialog based on the contents of that saved file. The advice from Simon is very relevant for this suggestion - be careful, today's large assembly will be tomorrow's medium assembly.

3) Set the load options dialog to load "all components". load the assembly, File->save bookmark (with the option menu set to "Component groups, Options & Structure". This bookmark file can be used from "file->open bookmark" or the history palette. The bookmark file will set the load options to "all components" before opening that assembly file".

hope this is helpful,

Joe

HELLO,
Thanks for the responses.
I have one more requirement as below.
I have Main assembly folder, i contains the folders A,B,C,D and i have created the sub-assemblies A,B,C,D from the parts in the folders A,B,C,D and saved in the Main assembly folder.
Now I created the main assembly.prt in the Main assembly folder and added the sub-assemblies A,B,C,D then saved the Main assebmly.and then closed.
Now when i open ,no parts loaded but managed to open by setting the load options set AS SAVED as i m the (UG user) but if the non UG user wants to open the main Assy without load options set AS SAVED in his UG session( As he dose not know UG),he is facing problem .

Please can any body suggest the best ways.
alsöo find the attached folder structure image just as reference
