Is there a way to copy an object in the design such that it is "connected" to its parent, i.e. when the parent is moved, the "child" follows it, keeping the same relative position?

I believe this is possible but I haven't been able to remember/figure it out.

Thanks,

Sorry for the late response but I can't stand to see no responses to messages .. if I have the answer.

This sounds like an AutoCAD move trying to be replicated in MicroStation.

Two ways:
ONE
use the element selector and select both items and then copy or move the obejects as you see fit.

TWO
use the group command (ctrl+G) to group the elements as some temporary block/ cell. Then move or copy the elements.

I hope this helps someone out there.
