Assembly Search Filter not working on large assemblies

Hello all,
For the most part the assembly search filter works fine unless the assembly is "large". When using the filter on a "large" assembly, the parts do not disappear (get filtered out). I have tried this with LAM on/off but no change. Suggestions welcome, solutions greatly appreciated

It is always helpful to say which version of SW you are using. You can even put it in your signature to save time.

Example:

SW 2011 64bit SP 3
Windows Vista 64 bit
Quadro FX1500
8GB Ram
