My current assembly has two parts derived from toolbox's iso spur gears and I have modded both parts & saved them in a separated file, but when I restart the SW and reload the assembly the base gears is loaded from SW data folder not the parts I've modded and saved

Here is the saved assembly view from win explorer with the correct gears

And here is the loaded assembly with the incorrect files loaded
(the image is too small, the file folder is: D:\SolidWorks Data\CopiedParts....)

If I open the part files it does load correctly, but does not load correctly when opening the assembly file

Go to the assembly level.
File > Find references.
Check the references here and if it is not updated then go and change the references from this dialog box.
