I have just created an angle iron frame assembly from four pieces. All of the parts are fully positioned and located correctly. After I save the file and attempt to place this frame in another assembly, the pieces do not match up as I assembled them. When I reopen the frame assembly file, it is still fully positioned but the parts are no longer where I placed them. I can check all the constraints dynamically and everything is correct as I assembled it, yet it appears drastically out of position.

What is causing this?

I've never seen this 'feature' before, but the project I'm working on is still using V14.
Is it anything to do with adjustable assemblies ?
When you say you 'reopen' the frame assembly, are you using the 'in-place' edit/open from your higher level assembly, or just using File>Open ?

Not an adjustable assembly. Just a simple angle iron rectangle. For some reason it will occasionally appear as if it is not properly constrained, even though if you check it everything is fully positioned and there are no conflicts. I have caught myself making changes to the parts of a subassembly that are not needed becasue they appear to be wrong in the next assembly and they were apparently not wrong. Very frustrating.
