I am not an expert at simplified reps.

Can I assemble an item and assign a specific simplified rep
of that sub assembly?

If that makes sense.

FRIEND ,
PLEASE DEFINE YOUR PROBLEM NEATLY SO THAT WE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY.

I thought I explained it the best I could.

I've assembled a sub assembly.

The sub assembly that I just added has it's own simplified
reps. I want to display a simplified rep belonging to the
sub assembly.

I can't explain any clearer than that.

Is that neat enough?

I tried it in Creo in following way and it works. I ma sure in works in similar way in previous releases

To display a rep of the sub assembly you must first create a rep or have a rep created in the upper level assembly where your sub assembly reports to. Then redefine that rep, you will see 3 taps in the edit window, one of them is called subsitute, select that tab and then select the sub assembly from your model tree. A list of already created reps of that sub assembly will appear, allowing you to select from that list.

Thanks I think the last one will work for me because the
one above only seems to work for the current session.

THX again
