ASME Y14.5 certification test to 2009 standard

FYI, I noticed that the ASME website now states that the certification test will be to the 2009 standard starting in ~mid. September. I had been studying the 1994 standard.....oh well.

I was wondering when they would update the certification test. The next release of the Standard is in progress - I have a draft copy. So the "new" 2009 testing will soon be behind the Standard (again). Why did't they wait for the new standard to be released and then up date? Oh well.

Good point. I've never considered ASME to be money a hungry organization, but I guess testing could be taken as a make-work project to pay their wages. Naaaah.
