ASME VIII-1 UG34 Flathead. Over sized head C value 3

Hi all

What the value for C from UG-34 to use when the flat head extends past the shell and is welded from the outside only.

As you are aware (hence your question), this detail is not covered by UG-34(d) and not included in Figure UG-34. I would revert to U-2(g).

Which leads to the question....Why are details included in Fig. UW-13.2, but not in UG-34?

How about C=0.33 per Figure UG-34 sketch (h)? This directly references Figure UW-13.2 sketches (a) to (g).
