the triaxial random seismic responses of interest shall be summated by the "square root sum of the squares" methodology, as defined in ASME III Division 1 [1] Appendix N Para.N-1223.2
This statement is a clients specification but we dont have a copy of ASME III Div 1 to referer to does anybody have an extract I can look at?

So, you're doing work to ASME Section III, and you don't have copy of the Code?

We are not fabricating to ASME III Div 1.
We are designing the vessel to ASME VIII Div 1 but the client wants us to consider this statement!!!!
We only need to veiw this appendix to check that we are complying.

As it is a customer requirement, perhaps they have the section in question?
