Hi all
During the design of Hub type self reinforced Nozzle on Pressure vessel as per ASME Sec VIII Div-1 using PV Elite, Like Hub thickness and Hub height, Is any requirement for NOZZLE NECK HEIGHT to be given as minimum?

Not aware of any requirement as such, but 1" is commonly used in my class of work, heat exchangers.

You just need room to make the weld.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

See UW-9 and Fig UW-9-2

Yes, excellent

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

Also note that rest (thickest portion) of the nozzle neck shall exceed the
limits of reinforcement in the nozzle as per the code.

Shall exceed? Shall not?

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
