Hey Everyone!

Quick question, Is there somewhere I can find a breakdown of ASME Section VIII Div.1? I mean as in a short version of basic requirements when fabricating pressure vessels. I am okay with looking through the code but it would be nice to have some info to give to my junior QC guys.

Thanks!

Two I would recommend are by Materials Technology Institute. Guidelines for Pressure Vessels & Piping Volumes 1 & 2 by RJ Twigg. I believe they're available through NACE and, I'm sure, other outlets.

For clarification, I omitted the first word in the title of the two publications I recommended. The title is 'Inspection Guidelines for Pressure Vessels and Piping'. I have the Casti book and several other technical reference manuals, but, for training my inspectors I prefer the two volumes I recommended.
