I'm working through the ASME B31G Calculations for the following
I'm noticing for the folias factor <= 20 ASME B31G, 2009, original method
Sf=sflow((1-2/3(d/t))/(1-(2/3)*(d/t)/M)
so when d=t, i.e. the flaw depth is 100% and there is no material left there is still an allowable stress! How is this possible?
What is the minimum thickness then in this case?
