I'm in valve design and I was trying to use the Stud Length calculation to ensure I had enough room for a flange type connection on our valve and I noticed the calculated stud length and the specified stud length doesn't match for the RTJ 2" 150, 4" 400, 4" 900. For instance the calculated value for 2" 150 is 3.47" and rounding to the nearest .25" as per nonmandatory appendix C, the specified length is 3.75. Am I missing something?
