Dear,

I'm rerating a tank of the year 1967 and can't find the allowable stresses of my material that year.
A-283 gr. C and for my bolting A 193 gr.B7
does anyone has these properties?
Thank you in advance.

greetings

To the best of my knowlege, the Allowable Stress will be the same in 1967 as it was on up thru 1999 -- it was based on a Safety Factor of 4. [post-2000 it is a factor of 3.5]

I'm rerating a skirt and my original support for the anchor does not comply with the ASME VIII div.1 and I don't have the original calculations and first thought that maybe it was because of the material properties. Do you know if there are changes made for the calculation of the anchor it is with a top full ring and my top is too thin with the new calculation that I made with ASME VIII year 1989. now I need a thickness of 20mm and it my design has a thickness of 13mm. this is a big difference that I'm trying to sort out.
My loads are the same.

The design of the skirt (not a pressure-boundary component) is not currently, nor was ever part of ASME Section VIII (now, Division 1). For all intents and purposes, that is a structural component and should be designed (or rerated) to the structural Codes and Standards, as applicable.

TGS4 is right. Skip Sect VIII; best reference I know of is Pressure Vessel Handbook, by E. F. Megyesy. Skirt design is on page 76 in the 14th Ed.
