I have assembly of many parts.
I want to make it all in one file, so to convert assembly into part file

I did it several times saving assembly as stp file, open stp and save stp again
I do not need history.
Did not notice some strict law in doing so, and now I have a problem doing it.
I work with NX7.5

Anyone knows the way to do it?

Thanks

Probably the easiest way is to export to parasolid then start a new file and import the parasolid.

What kind of problems did you run into with the STP files?

When I save *.stp and open *.stp it is still assembly not a part file with all part in it.

When you export STEP files, try using the "selected objects" option (rather than entire assembly). Window select around all the bodies in your assembly; this should create a "flattened" assembly (all the bodies in one file rather than creating components).

It will still export as an assembly with components if you do STEP or Parasolid, if done from the command line. I think it will exoport as a single file if you do a save as to a STEP file.

If you really want it to be a single solid body, unite the components before doing your export.

I do not want to unit part. I want all parts separated, but all appears in part-tree not in assembly-tree.

You need to add each component to your assembly.

Mr. Cowski system works.
Thanks a lot, I will write it down.

Thanks
