I am working to prepare a proposal to perform a Tier 2 assessment of a 113 year old concrete framed high school. There are no structural drawings available. To date, I have only performed Tier 1 assessments. It is my understanding that extensive knowledge of the structure is needed to perform the Tier 2 assessment; such as, reinforcing sizes, quantity, spacing, lap length, etc. This seems all but impractical to obtain. Are there any suggestions? What is the best scanning technology for this application?
