Hello everyone,

Kindly help me if any one has information on Asarcon 100B alloy. I have a pretty old drawing of a part which has material spec "Asarcon 100B". I need its chemical composition and if there is any equivalent material for this.

Also, need source of the information so that it is reliable. Hope you understand my situation. :(

Thanks very much,

Regards,
Jnanesha

Nominal composition in percent by mass:

Copper 88
Tin 10
Zinc 2

For equivalents, try:

UNS C90500 Tin Bronze

ASTM B505, ASTM B584, ASTM B271, SAE 62

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. However I am bit confused with the composition. Because as I am aware this material is being used in bearings and hence existence of lead is critical. The composition mentioned here does not talk on lead. Do you have source of this Asarcon 100B?

Please do share.

Thanks and regards,
Jnanesha KS

It is in Woldman's, you probably can see it with Google Books.
