Arrangement and Parts Lists in Drafting

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a drafting problem I have.

I have a structure which is dual use, with two configurations. I have set up Modelling arrangements for a 'bare' view (just the mounting), and then for each configuration (basically bits bolted onto the mounting). I have set up a drawing with four sheets, these being Bare, Config1, Config2, and parts list. For the two configurations I have selected the correct arrangement when placing the view.

The problems I have are:

In each drafting view, the configurations still show whatever arrangement the model is set to, in the assembly navigator. If I change this, both configurations change.
The parts list reflects the model arrangement, I really would like it to show all the parts (both configurations), then I can balloon each one. (This may not be best practice)

I was going to just do three different drawings, but the Find No (for the balloons) in Teamcenter is specific to the assembly.

Thanks (NX 7.5)

Might be a bug...

Using NX 7.5, I created a small test file with 2 components. I copied the default arrangement and moved one of the components to create arrangement2 and arrangement3. I then switched to drafting and placed 3 base views, one using each arrangement. When I change the arrangement used, the first view (the one using the default, system generated arrangement) updates to match the used arrangement. The other 2 views, the ones using the arrangements that I created, did not change (as expected). The behavior is the same in NX 8.5 and 9.

I'd suggest contacting GTAC to see if this is a bug or not. Until then, I suggest that you do not use the system generated default arrangement for any drawing views.
