Hi, I am working on machining problem using Abaqus/Explicit. I am curious to know if there is any option/way to calculate the area of node displacement (node deformation) in Abaqus/Explicit.

Thanks for the reply.
I am trying to figure out the area of pile-up on the edges of the tool. For example, when tool moves on metal surface it causes wedge formation resulting in material removal. The displaced material forms a pile-up on the edges of the cut section. I am trying to see if Abaqus/Explicit can calculate the area of resulting pile-up.

I believe this is what you need however I have never used it.
