I've been told that oil mist systems that vent to atmosphere are contaminates. I've also been told to install filters to prevent this.

Most oil mist industrial lubricants are petroleumn based and have additive packages to extend heat, load, and water life characteristics. Most petroleumn products are cost effective and easy to locate just about everwhere.

But oil mist systems are considered by some to be evironmentally unacceptable. Moreso, on the East and West coast areas.

What turbine oils are acceptable for EPA/OSHA can be used and still be cost effective - if atomized?
