Dear All,
Thank you for providing your remarks and references.
1. According to my understanding (please correct me if I am wrong) :
1.1. Various standards and Job specifications provide Nozzle loads(forces and Moments) values.
1.2. WRC and accordingly PV Elite, provides analysis of Stresses in Nozzle / Shell / Head / RF Pad at the Jn and Rf Pad attachments due to Nozzle loads.
1.3. However, guide lines as to how to consider the Nozzle loads on the Bracket / Saddles of Vessels / Heat Exchanges do not seem to be available.
1.4. PV Elite also does not address the Nozzle loads input and usage in saddle design in the calculations.
2. In these circumstances, I am desirous to know, how to consider the Nozzle loads in the calculations of Brackets / saddles for Vessels & Heat Exchangers. An example calculation of Saddle considering such loads will be of great reference.
3. A free body diagram as per TGS4 will be also helpful in understanding.
Excuse me if I have repeated my question, but for to have better understanding.
