Good day to All,

For Asme section VIII div1,
can the attached sketch be considered full penetration for integral flange calculation in appendix 2 figure 2-4(11)?

if it is a no for the above question, can i gather that For figure 2-4(11) it should be calculated as a loose flange always.

Remove the bevel on the flange side and place that bevel on the neck.

Or, apply a gap where the edges of the flange and neck connect and apply 1st Tig or back-gouging on the root of the welding. That should be really considered as integral and full penetration.
