I just want to know that as per Appendix-27 does code permit to use SA 181 Gr 60 for Glass lining application.What are the test specimen requirement??

First, I am not an expert in Section VIII, I am a member of Section I standards committee (the very first code for boilers and pressure vessels - also known as the mother code, and not to offend my code brothers on VIII). However, I can navigate my way through Section VIII, so here is what I know;

SA-181 really applicable to parts and components for piping systems, and not for vessel fabrication. Based on my review of Mandatory Appendix 27, I believe SA-181 is not suitable for glass-lined vessels. There are references to other material specifications within Appendix 27.
