We have a storage tank with flammables that was built to ASME Section 8/pressure vessel code. We're trying to determine if we should be using API 653 or STI SP001. I know API is more strict, but all of the other tanks at our site are inspected to STI standard. Any suggestions?

API vs STI for ASME Coded Vessel

Depending on the tank size or service, either STI or API codes may be applicable to the tank inspection.
