API OR VBA APPLICATION

Does anyone have an api that will create a configuration and write configuration specific properties for it? Ideally it would need to work with a spreadsheet but if someone has the basics I can adapt it to work in excel.

Can you give me more specifics on what exactly you are trying to do. I might have something in the database.
Are you looking to do it while the part is open and active? In an assembly? and what properties? Dimensions? or create your own file properties?
