Hi,

Hope somebody can help me with this:

We are planning to fire test our product (a pipe connector) according to API 6FB.
Our product will be tested under part II (offshore well bay conditions.)

After reviewing this test specification, it is not clear to me if bending is a requirement or not.
It appears to open up for the test to be performed with or without bending (ref chapters 4.3.1.1 and 4.3.1.2)

I have googled and found several gaskets certified for 6FB without bending.

Is there any refference for when bending is a requirement or not, or is this simply something to be agreed between supplier and client?
