From my experience:
Stress Engineering (Houston, TX)- They average around 40K-60K for PR2 testing, poor service, no straight answers to questions (its like talking to a bunch of lawyers). I would not recommend.
Southwest Research Institution (SanAntonio, TX) - Average around 25K - 30K for PR2 testing, great service, and they are direct and not afraid to give their professional opinion. I would definitely recommend.
Yarmouth Research Institution (Maryland)- Average around 18k - 22K for PR2 testing, decent service, they have what I would describe as a medievel set up, but good results. I'd recommend.
Odin Heavy Industries (Corpus Christi, TX) - Average 15K - 18K for PR2 testing, great service, new PR2 facility that is fully automated, if you are using their packing and it fails during PR2 they will replace and
[/indent]retest for free. I just sent a valve for PR2 testing, looking forward to see how they do.
Keep in mind these are the ones I have used frequently (besides the latter)

PS- API allows for Pressure, Temperature, and Nominal Bore size options for scaling. When using pressure scaling: if a valve is qualified as per PR2 all pressure ratings of that valves nominal size (ie 3-1/16" through bore) below the qualification pressure are automatically qualified. When looking at Nominal Bore Size scaling: if a valve is qualified as per PR2 it also qualifies 1 nominal bore larger and one nominal bore size smaller for the same pressure, if two nominal sizes are qualified all sizes between those two sizes are qualified. When looking at Temperature: if a valve is qualified as per PR2, all temperature classifications that fall entirely within the test range are qualified. Where it gets hazy is whether or not you can combine validation scaling. For example if I qualify a 3"-15K valve, does that mean 3"-5K, 3"-10K, 4"-5k, 4"-10k, 4"-15k, 2"-5k, 2"-10k, and 2"-15k valves are also qualified (using size scaling and pressure scaling)?
