API 686

Dear Experts,

I am working in Sewage treatment Plant project which uses many centrifugal pump. I am working in client side.Is it okay to refer API 686 for the installation requirements of Pumps. If then is it required to install vent in the discharge breakout spool of the pump.

It might be helpful to list specific installation requirements of the pump related to your application, instead of referring to only the API RP.
The vent connection could be added per piping configuration or the operational requirement.
