anyone know whare i can get a salient pole sync motor

Greetings, me and a few friends from my physics class are getting together to make a tesla coil. We have decided that we want a synchronous rotary gap, and for that we need a salient pole synchronous motor. If anyone could help on finding one for a good price or helping us make one, that would be awsome!

I have seen web sites that describe how to make one from a standard motor. You may want to do a search!
